Point-to-point radio

Written on 10:54 AM by ooe

Point-to-point radio systems are commercially available in a wide range of spectral bands, providing capacity between 2 Mbit/s and multiples of 155 Mbit/s. Radio is particularly suited to applications where customers with bandwidths of 2 Mbit/s or more are situated an appreciable distance from cable networks. The reach of a radio system will be determined by the characteristics of the transmitter/receiver pair and radio propagation in the spectral band(s) available to the network operator.
